I have a lot of books, many of which I have already read, so it makes sense to allow others to read them instead of hoarding them all to myself, you know?

As a Reading Intervention Teacher, I often receive more books than I can use, and rather than recycling them, I choose to share them with various organizations that support children. I also make it a priority to contribute many of these books to my community library.

I’ve done this! I have a few independent authors whose work I enjoy, and I buy their books and put them in the libraries with a personal note recommending them. I feel I’m helping the author and the reader.
