Coffee for my Customer
I am a banker and recently had an elderly woman come in who had overdrawn her account by $6.25. She wanted to correct the overdraft and began counting her change. I heard her mention that she had wanted to buy coffee with her change. I deposited her money, gave her a receipt, and then I asked her to wait one minute. I took $5.00 from my purse and gave it to her. I told her to please enjoy her cup of coffee on me. She smiled and said, "Thank you so much." Because of that act, my manager now keeps a supply of Dunkin' Donuts gift cards on hand for us to distribute to all who need a little pick me up.
