My story began in August of 2021.i had a wonderful vacation with my sister.
Covid was really on run. People wearing mask and gloves. Kids schooling via internet.
I have worked in the grocery business for about 35 year's and I love it.however this Covid has become a pandemic , first ever!!
People were in a panic, you couldn’t even find toilet paper. It was a pandemic that shut the whole word down.
Well I contracted Covid but I thought I would be ok as my husband and our son also had it.
Long story short . I got so bad , I was in icu for weeks . I was transferred to a medical hospital in Florida .
The doctors said I needed a double lung transplant and this I were my sister saved my life . My sister flew from Michigan to Florida to stay with me through the whole event.
I don’t remember to much. The doctors said I could not be on the transplant list without a person to be with me for 3 months or longer maybe, my sister dropped everything to come stay and help me. I did receive a transplant and sister stayed in the hospital the whole time with me . Sister also stayed with me for three months after transplant as I had to be 15 min. Away from the hospital .
I would not be alive without her!! Sister got a place for us for 3 months .
Sister took me to physical therapy every day. I had doctor appointments almost every day. my sister and I were always pretty close but after this event or bond it is so strong I’m so grateful to have my sister. I love her so much I can never give back what she gave to me, but I can certainly try.
