Sticking Kindness Around
I was spending some time with a friend on a day out and we went to the restroom. She went straight in and didn't see the sticky note on the mirror that said, "You are a beautiful blessing to the world," and simply signed with a heart. When she came out, I pointed it out to her and we both discussed how happy and special it made us feel. I assume countless people speak negatively about their own appearance in that mirror; I know I certainly have. Seeing this note not only made our day, but it also inspired us to do the same. She ripped up a small bit of paper and we took out some pens and set to work. We made notes with messages like, "You are loved," and, "Things will always get better," and left them in numerous places. We plan to do more in the future to bring a little sunshine to anyone's day.
