One day, my mom was driving me to my grandma's house. I was very excited to be staying the night with my Grandma that weekend. As we were driving into the neighborhood, my mom spotted something out of the corner of her eye. It was a toddler in the middle of the street! My mom is a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit nurse, so she almost instinctively jumped out of the car and carried the child onto the safety of the street. She then saw someone's door wide open and rang their doorbell. The parents of the child were grateful and relieved. I will always remember that day as an example of how to be kind.
