Kindness Gives Back
I volunteer at a hospital near me. I am currently 16, and I was assisting an elderly lady to the area she needed to go. On our way there, she asked about me and how I am able to volunteer. We had gotten off to a great start. Once we reached our destination, I saw her appointment wasn't for another 45 minutes. I sat with her until the nurse came to take her. When she left, she thanked me for talking to her and said I was like a son to her. It honestly made my day and I could see it made her day, too.
