I saved a chicken!
When i was about 10 years old, i lived infront of a forest, i could find kangaroos and snakes during the day, but one day it was different. I walked outside and heard this sound like “BAAAK BAAAAKK” and i was thinking what is that, so i got really curious because my dog was also barking and wagging his tail, i started looking around all the bushy areas and low and behold i find a chicken. We had no farms nearby so i picked the chicken up and took it into the garden, i looked at it and it had a lot of bald spots, a few cuts on its feet and on its face. I told my mum i had found a chicken and she said “let’s sell it to a farm” and i cried and said no, which is why we got to keep it, we took it to the vet and surprisingly it had almost no issues with its health! We still have her today, her name is carti, and she’s just had a baby 🤗
