Kindness Starts With One^®

St. Patrick’s day this year happened over my children spring break. That morning I decided to take my three children first to the Dollar Tree to buy Uncle Zach’s birthdays gifts and then we took a short walk over to Target (Starbucks.) I had an awesome cashier named, Emma that suggested I try a new spin on their chia tea. After I already paid for the tea I noticed the coolest green reusable cup. I said out loud, “what a cute cup. I didn’t see it until afterwards, but I’ll let you help the next customer. I can always get one another time.” I then sat down with my children and waited for my tea. I see a friendly face smiling approaching me holding the green reusable cup. She handed it to me, and said. “Here you go I know how much you liked it, and I felt like doing something nice.” My eyes teared up as I thought to myself; what a simple random act of kindness that just happened to me? Our world needs more of this, and Thank you again Nancy for being a kind person.
