So I was at home on a weekend and my dog needs to go outside so I let him out. I find my neighbors crying and talking so I go to them to try to help. They tell me that they have planned a trip to Florida and don't have a dog sitter and that's because their dog Brooklyn is very shy and won't let anyone come near her except her owners. So I offer to at least try to help and see if Brooklyn will trust me. shockingly, Brooklyn comes over to me and hops in my lap without hesitation. we got along so well! so I offer to dog sit because I LOVE animals. after their month-long trip, it was hard parting with Brooklyn. good thing we live so close to each other. I let them know we had a great time with only happy feelings. I go to bed the next day feeling so good that they got to enjoy their trip and I got to dogsit. Like dogsitting is its reward in its own self. The next morning I go to the kitchen to find a note from my dad saying "The neighbors left this as a thank you." I was shocked. it was a check for 300$. I went over to the house to thank them and now I get to go play with Brooklyn every once in a while!
