A Life Changing Book
I was 19 with a newborn starting my first professional job at a university. One of the benefits of working for the university was a free class a semester. However, I was too poor to buy a book for a class. One of the professors asked what class I was taking and I had to tell him I wasn't because I couldn't afford the book. He told me to pick a class and he'd buy the book with the only stipulation that if I have a chance, to do the same. I have 2 bachelor degrees and a master degree because of that book. I had the opportunity to buy the books of a gal who worked for me who was going to school :)
