This young girl who at the time was only 19 years old saved my father's life. He has a hoveround because he cannot walk. He was crossing the tracks and his wheel was stuck. He was hollering for help as cars went around him. Then a train was coming. Ashley heard my father's yell from her trailer. She ran over and tried to get him loose, but no luck. At the very last and I mean very last minute, she pulled him backwards and out of his chair as the train hit and demolished his motorized wheelchair. Seconds away from death. She was awarded our home town hero. This happened September 2015. I look up to her and owe her everything for saving my father's life. Not many young girls would do something like this. She is truly an angel in our eyes.
