"Sharing is caring." This phrase may sound a little silly, but there's a lot of truth to it! Sharing can be a very simple act of kindness, but it will really make the person you share with feel valued.
Sharing with someone is a great way to strengthen your relationship with that person. When the other person sees that you trust him or her enough to share your things, like a toy, game or CD, it really opens the door for that person to turn around and give you their trust.
Sharing with others shows them that your friendship is more important than your material belongings. Being willing to make small sacrifices to make others happy really demonstrates what a good friend you are and makes you a pleasant person to be around.
Go out of your way to let a friend or sibling play with one of your toys, even if they haven't asked. Get creative, there are many ways to share with others that you wouldn't normally think of. Let your younger sibling go in front of you when it's your turn to play on the computer. Or invite your brother or sister to play a game you wouldn’t normally involve them in. Sharing with him or her might just be a step towards a great friendship.
Share your favorite toy or game with a sibling or classmate when they ask to play with it. It can be frustrating when someone asks to use something you want to use, but the kind response to that situation is to share.
