Bring Reusable Bags to the Grocery Store
Somewhere between 500 billion and 1 trillion plastic bags are used each year.

While they are only used for an average of about twelve minutes, they remain in landfills, oceans and other places for thousands of years.

My local supermarket does not offer plastic bags as of the start of 2019 so its great to see the whole community bringing in their resuable bags

Before the bag tax was instituted in the City of Chicago, retailers provided reusable, recyclable bags. I always saved them. Since the $.07 tax started the bags are low grade quality and tear easily. i have the old, very sturdy reusable bags in the trunk of my car, which I take into the store and share with others in line with me.

Loving the way communities are banning plastic bags! Loving the new collection of re-usable bags I am amassing.
