Organize a charity day at your office. Ask your coworkers to bring food and clothing items to donate to the needy. Or organize a Saturday service project in your community: rake leaves for your office's neighbors, host a bake sale, or pick up litter in a nearby park. Your coworkers will enjoy the chance to help others too.
Hosting a Charity Day at work will not only help the needy in your community, it will also help build stronger relationships among your co-workers.
Make it a monthly occurrence! Organize a "community service" committee at your workplace and have someone put together a different event each month. Rotate between in-office and in-community events. Have bake sales and coat drives and volunteer at soup kitchens. You could even organize a charity golfing event.
Take the first step and get involved in something already happening. Maybe there is already an organization at your workplace that is working to promote kindness. Get on board! The holidays are always a good time to get involved with something; a lot of offices will do special wrapping paper fundraisers or coat drives in the winter months. It can be daunting to try and start something on your own, so help out with what is already going on.
