Start a Fundraiser
Fundraise for a good cause and help an organization!

Helping a business or a charity with a fundraiser is a great way to show kindness. You could donate food or toys to a homeless shelter or raise money for a charity you're passionate about. It can be fun too! There are tons of ways to get started online. There are options for different sites that allow you to create a fundraising page and make it easier for your cause to spread around the globe. Additionally, there are opportunities to start fundraisers within your community. Whether it's at school, the office or a neighborhood gathering, spread the word about the things you care about and make a difference. If you want to test your creativity, offer something (like a personal drawing or craft) to the people who donate to your cause.

  • I'm gonna try this out by baking brownies and distributing them to every apartment in my building as they donate to things like the Color The Spectrum fundraiser for Next For Autism or Team Trees. They can donate AND eat brownies :D

  • I am a part of an international team, Shimmy Mob, raising awareness for domestic violence. Our Knoxville Team fund raises for our Knoxville Family Justice Center.

  • This is a really nice idea. At some point, I want to start a fundraiser to save animals. Being an animal rights activist is just another way of being a RAKtivist- by saving the animals, you are being kind to them!

  • The pandemic has taken so many lives here in the Philippines. Our medical front liners have sacrificed a lot, from working away from family and risking their own lives to save others. Last May 2020, I asked the approval of our school administrator for us to launch a school-wide campaign for the donation of personal protective equipment to hospitals and municipalities in our province, Bataan. I communicated the said campaign to the students, parents and alumni of Bataan Christian School. With the help of everyone, we were able to raise fund to provide the said advocacy. We called the said campaign, 'Project PINK', Prosperity IN Kindness. ms. gorospe

  • When I visited a grocery store once, I found a can collecting coins to raise funds for a family whose home had burned down and I put $.50 in the can in hopes I could curb my urge for caffeine and I have heard other people have done this to curb their urges for caffeine, too! It works you ought to try it! Kindness towards others is the best and forgive so you are forgiven! Praise GOD! :)

  • I've done this a couple of times and the recipient was very appreciative of the help during a time when they didn't know what to do.

  • Rather than STARTing a new fundraiser, existing fundraisers need my help so I'm being more selective in choosing where to give to have the biggest impact.

  • I am actually doing a fundraiser now for a friend who's special needs child was in the hospital for 6 weeks due to a severe seizure disorder. The response has been amazing!
