Sunflowers

While shopping I saw a women place a bouquet of sunflowers in her basket which made me smile. They were so big and cheerful but I didn't think I could splurge on something frivolous for myself. As I was loading the car with groceries she handed me the sunflowers and said "you are the recipient of a random act of kindness!" Before I could recover from my delighted astonishment she was gone.

Everytime I look at those beautiful exuberant sunflowers I think of an impressionist painting and the joy of receiving a random act of kindness. It restores one's faith in humanity.

I think your story was very nice to read and that the woman who gave the flowers to you was a very kind and generous person who cared about lots of people, even if she didn't know them.

Beautiful story. I love flowers, they are the key to my heart. I have had friends who stumble a pond extra fragrant flowers and bring them to me. This touches my heart in a special way, as I am blind and can not see the beautiful colors. Knowing they are mindful of the way I see the world really warms my heart. .
