My husband and I just started a new job in Mississippi. We do contract work so we are always moving and currently living in a motel. Our office is 20mins back in the woods and the community back here has many dumpsters along the road I guess making it easier for the collection guys. One day I pull over to throw some trash away and here comes 3 happy, playful tail wagging puppies running up to me. They get close and my heart just breaks over the bad shape they were in. They had scabs all over their bodies, losing their hair and fleas running all over them. I got a bottle of water and filled up a bowl for them. When I got back to work the tears just started flowing.
We live in a motel and work 72hrs a week there was no way I could take them. The next day we happened to get rained out (he works outside) and I tell my husband I want to do something about these puppies. He takes me into town (30 mins there) spends $65 on the ONLY dog carrier we can find (small town) and a bag of dog treats and dog food, drives 30 mins back to that dumpster to pick up the little guys and drives an hour to the closest humane society to drop them off. Mind you we work 72+ hours a week when we get a workday off it is crammed full of tasks, which he had quite a few he put aside to help me get those puppies off the street and hopefully some medicine.
Thank you hubby, I sure appreciate and love you! Thanks for listening everyone! P.S. We now have a huge dog carrier in the motel room.....
Aw. That's so nice of you and your hubby. Puppies always get adopted quick. I'm sure they've got nice homes and families now.

Hi - what a lovely thing to do. It is so sad to see abandoned puppies and abandoned adult dogs roaming around. Dogs are such inspirational animals - they are always happy and ready to give love unconditionally - all they want is food, a warm bed for the night, walks kindness and cuddles - in return they give so much love. I hope everyone who is reading this comment remembers our canine friends tonight and have a think about how you can help them, or help the rescue centres who care for them.
