Using a reusable water bottle is an easy way to reduce waste in a landfill and help protect the environment.

Every hour Americans throw away 2.5 million plastic water bottles. Not only does this create vast amounts of garbage in the landfill but also, by continually producing more bottles we utilize a tremendous amount of energy and resources.  The benefits of using a reusable water bottle are two-fold. You help the environment by creating less pollution, less garbage and limit the use of natural resources. You also help humankind by reducing the toxins that are released during plastic production and create a cleaner, healthier world to live in. You’ll also save a lot of money. Refill, not landfill!

Benefits:

Reducing the use of disposable bottles is an easy way for everyone to help the environment. It reduces waste, pollution and the depletion of resources. It is also much better for our bodies to drink water out of reusable bottles that don’t leech harmful toxins.

Step It Up:

Encourage your friends, family and coworkers to use reusable water bottles. You could also create a challenge at work or school to see who can go the longest without using a disposable water bottle. Take it one step further and challenge businesses, government offices, and schools to completely eliminate the use of disposable water bottles.

Keep It Simple:

Keep a reusable bottle at work or school and at home so that no matter where you are you have access to a reusable bottle.
