Ask Before You Borrow

How you treat others says a lot about you as a person. One way you can show respect to your friends, family, classmates and teachers is by respecting their personal belongings.

When you want to borrow something from someone, make sure you ask first. Never take something from someone else without the owner's permission. Chances are, if you are polite, they will be willing to let you borrow it. Don't forget to say please!

Step It Up

If you borrow something, whether it be something trivial or something of great importance, include a thank you kind note when you return it to the owner, just to let him or her know you appreciated their generosity.

Keep It Simple

When you borrow an item from someone, be sure to return it to the owner in the same condition you received it.
