Make a Random Acts of Kindness List

"A tree is known by its fruit; a man by his deeds. A good deed is never lost; he who sows courtesy reaps friendship, and he who plants kindness gathers love." - Saint Basil

Take a couple minutes to think about how the kindness of your family and friends, and even strangers has made a difference in your life. Think about how the smallest acts of kindness you’ve received have made an impact on you. Well, you can become part of the circle of kindness. Just make a commitment to creating more kindness in your everyday life. Take some time to jot down all the kindness ideas you can think of - and then perform them!

Benefits

Once you become more aware of the many ways you can be kind to others, you’ll be more conscious about how you treat those you come in contact with on a daily basis, and most likely, you’ll make more of an effort to perform random acts of kindness. With every act you carry out, you'll be contributing to making the world a better place.

Step It Up

Brainstorm and then make a list of all the ways you can practice kindness. Then, set a goal for yourself and work to complete the ideas on the list! Share the list with your friends and encourage them to start their own kindness list.

Keep It Simple

Keep a list of the acts of kindness you see that are performed by those around you. Did a classmate smile at you today? Has someone every held the door for you? Did a friend or parent listen to you last time you were struggling with something? Be inspired by the ways others are kind!

I'm going to do this for my birthday. Between 7/20 and 7/28 I will perform 53 random acts of kindness half of which will be anonymous. I'm using this site and your great ideas :)

I like the thought of doing it for your birthday. The only problem with that is my b-day has already passed this year. I will just have to do 25 RAK's before the year is up. If I finish those I will do more.

Totally going to do this and my birthday has already passed as well. But I will be doing a short list before the end of the year and another one for my birthday next year. Awesome idea!!!

This website is truly inspiring to me, and just to see all of the great comments from people everywhere wanting to start a movement and see a change in our world is amazing. It only takes one step to make a difference in someones life. Thank you to all who are trying.
