Pick Flowers for Someone Special

Share the beauty of nature with a loved one by picking a special bouquet of flowers for them.  The fact that you picked out the flowers yourself with them in mind will add a lot of meaning to this gift, rather than just sending store-bought flowers. This is a great activity whether you are an adult or child, and what better way to show someone how much you love them!

Benefits:

When you pick your own flowers you get to enjoy nature along the way! Take a nice long walk or hike and select your favorite flowers. Fresh air and exercise will help raise your mood. And the best part--hand picked flowers are free!

Step It Up:

Invite your special someone to come along with you on the hike. Let them point out the flowers they love most and you do the physical work of picking them and arranging them. Bring a picnic along, too! Once you have a beautiful bouquet, set up your picnic and enjoy good food, good company, and beautiful flowers! If you are in a national park or other official recreation area, please be sure to read the rules of the trail before picking the flowers--not all reservations allow it. If that is the case, bring your camera along and make a picture collage of the flowers once you are home!

Keep It Simple:

Depending on where you live, you might not have to go far to pick flowers. If you have your own garden just step out the backdoor and pick some of your own to share with a neighbor!
