I am thankful for my family, friends, co-workers, and job. Even though my job may be stressful at times and make me want to run and hide it also gives me a chance to help people everyday in someway. As an ICU nurse you see people at their lowest point and often get to help them back to a high point!

I am thankful for the Angels, with whom, thanks to God, I now have a divine relationship with and without whom, I would not have coped. I was never a sceptic, but now, a commited believer and follower. God Bless.
I am also thankful for my beautiful wife and daughters and thank God daily for bringing them into my life

"When the student is ready, the teacher will appear." ~ Buddhist maxim

"Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow." ~ Melody Beattie

"Everything" is a lot for which to be thankful and grateful, but not unreasonable. It is normal to be grateful for life and the things in life that lift you up and fill you with joy, and I'm so thankful for all of those things and all of those people. They are significant. The things that bring you down in life and drain you of your life force don't immediately seem to be things for which we should be thankful and grateful. Yesterday, I saw this group and took the question to heart and studied it closely in the context of my life. There used to be too much sadness in my life. And I'm thankful and grateful for it all. I'm thankful for the people who are supposed to love me, but don't or just don't know how. I'm thankful for all the hardships and cruelty I used to believe they inflicted on me. I'm grateful for the days that were so dark that it never seemed like light ever existed at all. I'm thankful for all the seemingly impossible challenges in my life I thought threw me off it's course. I'm thankful for all the negativity I allowed to live in my life. I'm grateful for all of those who think less of me because they can't or don't want to find out who I am, what makes me tick. I'm thankful and grateful for everyone who gave up on me. I forgive it all.

At first glance, some might think this is all so sad. But it's not. It's abundantly joyous. Everything in my life has made me who I am today. For better or worse, the lessons we learn best and become dearest are the ones borne out of stress and strife. I thought I needed to go through everything I have gone through, but in the end, the result for me is the same. Life is abundantly good. And that is even more evident to me when I compare what I have now to what I had and what I went through then. My past helped me to appreciate my present and my future even more keenly. The lessons have been learned and the immense weight of the past has been put down. Have you ever experienced the lightness of living? It's so Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!!!

I am extraordinarily thankful and grateful for the realization that I am the architect of my life today and tomorrow and all the tomorrows to come. A present and future filled with people that love me, the things that enrich my life, the kindness that fills this world, the smiles and laughter of grateful people, the blessing of being able to see ALL the beauty that exists in our world, and the list of reasons to be thankful for ... ad infinitum.

Every day I will say "Thank you for ... !".

I am thankful for the gift of life and people that are in my life that I love and that love me unconditionally. And I'm thankful to have found this website today and to have joined with like minded, kind hearted people who are coming together to change our world with simple acts of kindness.

I try to be grateful for every person and thing in my life.
Perhaps the thing I am most grateful for in my life, is the great caring heart of my late mother.
I have learned from her to care, to love and to admire the beauty of nature.
I try to share these skills with my family, my friends, my students, my patients.
