Use Your Talents To Help Others

All of us have a talent of some kind that might be useful to a friend, co-worker, neighbor or family member.  Do you have a talent in writing amazing resumes?   Could you offer your photography services in your city to families that might never be able to afford a family portrait?  What about cooking a meal for the elderly couple that live down the street? Are you a musician that would be willing to cheer up the main street of your city with wonderful music without asking for donations?  What about knitting a scarf or hat for a neighbor?

Benefits

This act of kindness will get you thinking outside of yourself while utilizing a talent you may take for granted. It will help you recognize the needs of others, and you will get great satisfaction from using your abilities to help others.

Step It Up

Spend some time thinking about all of the things you can do to help others.  Are you a hairdresser that would be willing to help people living in a shelter with a fresh cut?  Do you work in a grocery store where you might be able to take expired food or browning fruit to a local shelter?  Do you coach kids soccer and would be willing to coach kids in a school with no sports program?

Keep it simple

Simple actions which don't take a lot of effort on your part can make a huge difference in the lives of others.  Sometimes, it will bring a smile to the face of someone walking by, other times you could change someone's day or week in ways you can't imagine.
