All of us have a talent of some kind that might be useful to a friend, co-worker, neighbor or family member. Do you have a talent in writing amazing resumes? Could you offer your photography services in your city to families that might never be able to afford a family portrait? What about cooking a meal for the elderly couple that live down the street? Are you a musician that would be willing to cheer up the main street of your city with wonderful music without asking for donations? What about knitting a scarf or hat for a neighbor?

Technology has enabled us to create deeper, more lasting relationships with many of the hundreds of people we interact with each year. Facebook is a place to connect with family and friends. LinkedIn is a place to connect with colleagues. And We&Co is a place to connect with the people who provide you outstanding service on a daily basis, but who aren't easily reachable: the woman who cuts your hair just how you like it; the mechanic who fixes your car and doesn't overcharge you; the barista who makes that perfect cup of coffee, every time.

Beremedy.org is an organization connecting people who need help with those who want to give it via social media. We feel that most people would help if they simply knew the needs in their local community. Through applications like Twitter and Facebook, beremedy alerts people when someone in their community needs help. Members then respond to the message or pass on the message to those they feel can.
